How do I change the app to landscape???
I just took a recent trip on United and the app worked great for me. The push notifications for gate changes was faster than text notifications. The boarding pass went into the passbook just fine. No complaints from me.
Super easy app to use, with all the info you need
The scan grabs all the information from the passport successfully and then the verification just fails without explanation. It would be helpful if the verification would report why it didnt work.
Why when I search round trip does it give me one way. Such a false sense of pricing. Also just ask me if I want non stop and let it be saved in my preferences. The app stinks. Do the people who actually design the app use the app? Make it user friendly or I will just use another carrier. You cant take anything more away from travelers. You took away the food now you make us pay for a bag and now a bad app. I wish I could give a zero star rating.

Has not worked for a while. Please fix.
With the latest update the united app is worthless. I cannot book a flight without the app crashing. I actually have to go to the web version to book a flight. The app constant isnt responding or force closing. This is a useless app for now. Come on united what happened to your amazing mobile app??
It does get certain jobs done (check-in, give travel info etc.) — but there is lots of room for improvements. For instance, each time you want to go back to your reservation information, you have to re-type your confirmation number and last name, even within the same session, which is really awkward. When I scanned my passport, the app uploads it but then it complained that my name was incorrect — which was not true, but it did not get my middle name. There is no way to correct or add that. You can only cancel the process. So, the whole check-in process is cancelled because of this flaw. After I had checked in (without passport, which is possible) using the app said the boarding passes will be emailed. But they weren’t. I only got an email notification that my check-in had failed. So, what’s the point? Why not just say that in the app?
This app is convenient, except when you are at an airport other than your home airport. Which is at least 50% of the time! Needs to have a Terminal listed on the boarding pass for easier navigation.
Apps cannot do the most important function: checkin. Immediately errors with "Authentication failed" when verifying documents. United does not seem able to fix very simple code to launch the camera and scan a passport. Really?
Tried to check in for international flight, which requires passport validation. App just crashes every time you try. This is a trend among other reviews too. Broken feature in the app, how was this ever approved for production?
